Overriding Group Memberships in eADM

In eADM, you can manually override a user's group membership to remove them from a specific group, regardless of how the membership was originally assigned.

Warning: Use this function with caution. An override is permanent and remains in effect until it is manually removed.

Note: Identum’s general recommendation is to manage all memberships through access rights policies rather than making direct changes at the group level.

Procedure

Follow these steps to remove a group membership for a user.

  1. Search for the user you wish to modify.

  2. Navigate to the Memberships tab.

  3. Locate the group you want to remove the user from and click the

    Delete icon next to it.

The group membership is now marked with an override. The change will be processed and applied in the target system during the next synchronization cycle.

Reverting an Override

If you need to restore the group membership, you can reverse the action by clicking the

Undo button associated with that entry.

Auditing

This type of override is logged in the system in the same manner as an override of source data from an HR system.
