How to Set a Custom SMS Sender ID

You can now customize the sender name (Sender ID) for SMS messages sent from eADM. This allows notifications to come from a recognizable name, like your organization's name, instead of the default "eAdm".

Once enabled for your account, you can select your custom sender from the Sender dropdown menu within any SMS message flow.

Requirements and Limitations

Due to technical limitations in the global SMS protocol, all custom sender IDs must adhere to the following rules:

• Text Senders: Must be a maximum of 11 characters.

• Numeric Senders: Must be a maximum of 15 digits.

• Prohibited Characters: Special characters (like the Norwegian æ, ø, å) are not allowed.

• Spaces: Spaces are not supported in the sender name.

How to Order

A custom SMS Sender ID is a paid service that our team must configure with our SMS provider for each customer.

To order this feature:

1. Choose the Sender ID you want, making sure it meets the requirements listed above.

2. Send an email to salg@identum.no with your desired Sender ID. Our team will then process the request and add it to your account.

Note: There is an annual cost for each custom Sender ID you register.
