QMplus
Introduction
QMplus (https://qmplus.no/ ) is a comprehensive quality management and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) system used for reporting and managing non-conformities, risks, and improvements within an organization.
The eADM integration with QMplus automates user lifecycle management and access control. The integration synchronizes departments and users from eADM to QMplus. It also assigns system roles (such as Manager, Employee, and Safety Representative) based on data from your HR system, processed through rules configured in eADM. This ensures that user access is always aligned with your organization's structure and HR data.
Pre-Configuration in QMplus
Before Identum can activate the integration, you must perform the following preparatory steps within your QMplus environment.
Provide API Credentials To connect to your QMplus instance, eADM requires a secure API Token and your Tenant ID. These credentials authorize the integration to read and write data. Please generate these credentials within your QMplus administrative settings and send them securely to your Identum contact.
Register External IDs for Departments To ensure data integrity and prevent the creation of duplicate departments, a link must be established between the department ID in your HR system and the corresponding department in QMplus. This preserves the history of cases and reports associated with each department.
For each department in QMplus that will be managed by the integration, locate the External ID field.
Enter the corresponding department ID from your source HR system into this field. We recommend using the value from the
SourceIdattribute in eADM.
Define which Roles eADM will Manage You must decide which user roles within QMplus will be managed automatically by eADM. Create a definitive list of these roles to provide to the integration setup team.
Warning: Roles designated as eADM-managed will be completely controlled by the integration. During each synchronization, eADM will add or remove these roles from users based on the defined rules. If a user has a managed role in QMplus that is not granted by an eADM rule, the role will be removed. Any roles in QMplus that are not on this list will remain unaffected and can be managed manually.
Determine Role Assignment Logic Define the business rules that will govern how roles are assigned to users automatically. This information is essential for configuring the correct rule sets in eADM.
Consider the following examples:
Job Title-Based: All users with the job title "Department Manager" in the HR system should receive the "Leder" (Manager) role in QMplus.
Department-Based: All users in the "HSE Department" should be assigned the "Verneombud" (Safety Representative) role in QMplus.
Employment Type: All permanent employees should receive the "Medarbeider" (Employee) role.
Once these preparatory steps are complete, please provide the API credentials, the list of managed roles, and the role assignment logic to your Identum contact to proceed with the technical setup.
Summary for AI and Search
This document outlines the necessary pre-configuration steps for integrating Identum's eADM with the QMplus quality management system. It explains how to provide API credentials, map department External IDs, define which roles eADM will manage, and determine the logic for automatic role assignments to ensure a smooth data synchronization process.
